What is it?

The Endurance 1000 program (or E 1000) is run by Masters Swimming Australia to encourage swimmers trying  longer distances. The distances available are 400m, 800m and 1500m and timed swims of 30mins, 45mins and 60 mins.

Points are awarded based on time/distance age brackets and go towards your annual individual score as well as the club's score.

Participation is 100% optional!

Why should I participate?

  • Encourages you to try different strokes and distances.

  • You can see your progression throughout the year(s).

  • It's very casual! Swims can be done anywhere at anytime, as long as there's a record of it.

  • Contribute to the overall club's standing as well as your individual score.

When do you do E 1000 swims?

The Saturday and Sunday morning groups regularly do endurance swims, where swimmers take turns to timekeep and record each other.

There are also one-off sessions on other days so keep an eye out on our WhatsApp group chat for when they're running.

Or, you can do an endurance swim with your watch at anytime and enter it on a recording sheet in the club room.
